Chocolates for Each Zodiac Sign

I'm not a big believer in the truth of Zodiac predictions, but it's a fun model to play with when creating characters or worldbuilding! Is my chocolate pairing a good match for you? Let me know on my socials! Specific recommendations from Bar & Cocoa, my favorite chocolate site, are linked below.

As the fiery first sign of the Zodiac, Aries is known for taking bold initiative. A spicy chocolate with chili or cayenne would be a great match for this sign! Try Belvie Chili Pepper Dark Chocolate, Ritual Vegan White Chili, Moka Mexican Spice Milk Chocolate, or Theo & Philo Dark Chocolate with Labuyo Chili. If you don’t want quite so much spice, try Pure Chocolate with Cinnamon.

The luxury-loving bull would delight in a luscious milk chocolate ganache truffle. Creamy, rich, and satisfying, this chocolate would be sure to please this indulgent earth sign! Try these Domori Classic Truffles, Amedei Pralines, Valhrona Bon Bons, or Michel Cluizel Bon Bons for a delightful treat.

Geminis are all about duality. A dark & white chocolate combo would excite that thirst for dual flavors, like this Raaka Cookies & Cream Bar or Amedei Armonia Chocolate Gift Box. For an interesting twist, also check out this Two Rivers Bar from Mission Chocolate that sources its chocolate from two different Brazilian cacao beans and pairs them side-by-side in the same bar!

This water sign is all about homey, comforting flavors. A gooey sea salt caramel would match their sweet and soothing vibe. Just don’t get on their bad side, because Cancers can be salty when you cross them! You can try Mayana Chocolate Salted Caramels, Fjåk Chocolate Coated Raspberry Caramels, or Fruition Brown Butter Bourbon Caramels. My personal favorite sea salt caramels are Recchiuti’s Fleur de Sel Caramels.

This smoky confection would delight fiery Leos who love flash and glamor. And, for this summer sign, s’mores are the perfect fire-toasted summer treat! Try this Ritual S’Mores Bar or Mayana Cloud 9 Bar.

This one is sort of cheating because I’m a Virgo. So I basically just chose my favorite type of chocolate! ;-) But it works: Virgo is known for being fastidious and practical. A single-origin chocolate gives Virgos a chance to apply that analytical brain to identify the unique tasting notes, while the pure bean-to-bar form fulfills their earthy practicality. There are SOOOO many good ones I could recommend, but I’ll stick with just a few of my favorites: Marou Wallpaper Tien Giang, Firetree Vanuatu Malekula Island, Belvie Ben Tre, Domori Chuao Criollo, Marana Cusco Dark, and A. Morin Equateur Esmeralda.

Libras are all about balance, so a balance of flavors would delight this sign! Complementary flavors like chocolate & peanut butter or chocolate & raspberry would be an enticing pick. For peanut butter, try Dick Taylor Chocolate Peanut Butter or Mayana Pride Bar. For raspberry, try Ritual Après Chocolate, Raaka Raspberry Dark Waffle Crunch, or Soma Raspberry Bar.

Rare and exotic flavors from around the world would delight Sagittarius eaters. Check out these unique finds: Mission Chocolate Cupuaçu, Theo & Philo Dark Chocolate with Calamansi, and Baiani Dark with Caipirinha.

Capricorns are practical, stubborn, and hardworking, and they expect high quality. Chocolate with raw cacao nibs would be a great match for this earth sign, as would a well-crafted tea-infused chocolate. Try Palato White Chocolate with Nibs, Fossa Milk Chocolate Honey Orchid Dancong Oolong, Crow & Moss Earl Gray Tea, or Raaka Green Tea Crunch.

Aquarius is all about experimentation. A fun bar like maple bacon would delight their experimental sensibilities—flavors that seem random but work together perfectly! Some maple options are: Qantu Maras Maple & Fleur de Sel, Goodnow Farms Asochivite with Maple, and Raaka Maple & Nibs. You can add your own bacon pairing!

Pisces is the sign most connected to the spiritual world. Light, ethereal, almost magical flavors would be best for this soulful water sign. White chocolate paired with a unique and delicate floral flavor like lavender or rose would be a great match for this sign. Check out Ritual Gin Juniper Lavender Chocolate, Mirzam Falooda White Chocolate with Rose & Pistachio, or Raaka Rose Cardamom.
